I was in the toy section of the store this weekend getting my niece a present, and I stumbled across some sales on toys, and thinking about how blessed I was as a kid to receive cool toys when we went through some hard times, I filled up a cart with some of the neatest ones I could find and schlepped them over to the Salvation Army Corps near me that does Project Angel Tree and provides gifts to children of incarcerated individuals through Prison Fellowship. They were thrilled to have the items, and said many kids get nothing, especially if their name isn’t picked off the tree at Christmas, and that these items would go far.
