Once Gina picked up the baton, it was a smooth hand-off. On the day of installation, ARG came in along with TCI and were in and out in less than 90 minutes. Since then, I have had several conversations with Gina and if there was a problem I could not fix (including with my current vendor XO Communications), she picked up the ball and ran with it!

The support that we have received from Joe, Kara and the rest of the ARG team has been excellent. Why?
1. They are responsive – There have been days in which I received an out-of-office email response from one of the ARG team. That notification was OK. But, invariably, they would email back a response immediately saying that they would look into the issue upon their return.
2. They are persistent – Joe and Kara use all of their recourses to get questions answered and issues resolved. Sometimes we have to go back to get further insight into an issues. ARG representatives go back to our telecommunications vendors to make sure that we get the right answer.
3. They are professional – I have never had an instance where they presented themselves in an unprofessional manner.
4. They are knowledgeable — They understand the telecommunications industry and provide the most appropriate and prudent solutions for our company. If they don’t know the answer, they find out the answer and give us good solutions.
5. They are hands-on — Many times, we have to have after-hours testing to implement new services or resolve telco issues. Our representatives from ARG will coordinate the testing between us and the vendor. They will provide the conference call bridges and stay on the phone with us until the testing and implementation is completed.
All this means, that the service and support we have received from ARG has met G&O’s needs in a positive way. We enjoy working with Joe, Kara, Steve and all of the ARG representatives who help make our jobs easier by guiding us and resolving telecommunications issues.”

Notwithstanding my comments above, not everything works perfectly every time. And, very often, the problem will arise due to a change that it appeared had to be made. Then things break down and have to be fixed. In our case, a year ago we had some e-mail problems that had us extremely concerned and they taxed our and ARG’s patience and technical capabilitites. But they stuck with it and helped us trace the source of the problem and helped us get it fixed even though the ultimate problem we learned was caused by an action we initiated and was outside of the services that we had purchased from ARG.
It is rare that you can find a company that works with you so completely. To help you solve problems arising from services that you have purchased from a company is expected and is necessary customer service. To go beyond that and help one solve problems that arise outside of services that have been purchased and to do so willingly, unreservedly, and without additional charges for hte assistance is truly beyond any reasonable expectations.

The ARG transition team was very engaged and interfaced seamlessly with our vendors throughout the process of designing and implementing our new phone system, getting onboard with our new carrier and exiting from our former carrier and service plans. Now as an established client, we have come to recognize even further the value of ARG’s service. Certain components of our communication technology are somewhat non-standard, and at times if we experience an issue, it may not be readily apparent what the source of the trouble is. The responsiveness of our technical support team at ARG has been nothing less than outstanding. With one quick call or email they are working with our carrier on researching the matter and providing timely updates. In addition, they always make sure we know what to expect, and they follow through to resolution. A huge plus is that we are relieved of back and forth calling to vendors, waiting on hold, trying to understand technical jargon, etc. Even with questions or low-priority matters our contacts at ARG are extremely responsive and happy to assist.
We have been delighted with the consistently high level of service provided by ARG and consider them to be an essential partner in our telecommunications landscape. Without hesitation we would recommend ARG to any business embarking on an evaluation of their phone service.”
Let me do this chronologically:
1) From the beginning, Lew Branning has been extremely informative, keeping me apprised at every step of the order process, and very quick to respond when I had any questions or concerns.
2) When, last week, we experienced a total outage due to a premature change to our circuit made by (carrier), your front-line support people (Susan & Kym) were immediately on it. Later, Kristine Pallatucci went above and beyond to help me first confirm that our issue was not internal, then continue communicating with (carrier) until the issue was diagnosed and resolved on a day when I wasn’t able to be in the office for the first half of the issue’s duration.
3) This morning, the day of the actual event, may have seen the quickest cutover on record. As the sole IT support person for a company of sixty employees, I have many hats to wear and do not have the router-level expertise necessary to be comfortable making the necessary router changes to complete our end of the cutover in a timely manner. Again, Kristine donned her fetching red cape and the “S” emblem on her shirt and completed our end of the change. Without her expertise and inside knowledge of the technicians on GC’s side, the change could have taken far longer and been the cause of much hair-loss here at Cernium.
It is this level of support and care that has saved Cernium much downtime and ill-spent money in the past. It is also what has made Cernium a happy client of ARG for the past several years, and what makes me happy to recommend ARG to my colleagues in the IT business.”
When I arrived at SHRM 5 years ago I was pleasantly surprised to find that my days of dealing with voice related vendors was gone. On a daily basis I received at least 2 calls from other vendors soliciting our business. While many offer lower contracts and many incentives to switch over long distance services as well as to purchase new phone equipment; we have repeatedly declined letting them know that even though we are very cost conscience, great customer service is priceless. Moreover, great customer service is something we already have with Joe Harre with ARG, and are not willing to trade off that relationship for cheaper contracts.
As you know 6 months ago we were seriously considering changing vendors because of the billing nightmare we had with(carrier). It took 4 months, April through September, to work through (carrier) billing system transition and to finally get a correct invoice from them. None of this would have been possible without your assistance. I can’t thank you enough for taking the initiative to help resolve our issues with (carrier).
In 2009 we were considering purchasing a new phone system, but due to the economy we had to postpone that purchase. As soon as we are able to purchase a new phone system, ARG will certainly be the first vendor we call upon. This is due in no small part to the attentive service you have provided to us.”
There are time that we have to fight against the Evil Forces from the Dark Side. We were given empty promises form the service providers. Sometime we also were bullied by them. Whenever Darth Vader swing his Light Saber at us, there always is ARG. Especially during the change of service ( upgrade service, install new service ) we had experienced several issues.
Those Dark Lord of (carriers), do not act professionally and “Laurel” has to be the enforcer. She stand before us and fight for us. Unfortunately, they have army of CLONE and “Laurel” had to step in each time. If she were not there, we might have to deal with them and who know how long would that take to get it done. Thanks “Laurel” for always being there when we need help. So do “Joe” and “Gary”, both are very responsive to my request. And provide all necessary info for us when needed.
I am grateful to work with those special employees from ARG who are knowledgeable and provide 1st class customer service. I’ve been in IT fields for 15 years and ARG is one of the top service providers I have ever had.”

While going from 2 T1s to a 10MB Ethernet connection might not seem like a big deal for some, for a company like ours that hosts it’s own web server and email server, and hosts regular webinars, that internet connection is crucial.
When first approached by other firms offering greater bandwidth, my main concern quickly became preserving our schema of 128 IP addresses, so I did not have to spend an entire weekend changing all of them with Network Solutions’ authoritative DNS, our internal DNS, and on our web servers. But ARG offered us the possibility of an upgrade with our current provider, thereby retaining our schema, and helped us throughout the hiccups that can happen during these kinds of transitions, including being onsite during the cutover to basically handle the new router configuration. I seriously doubt we would have upgraded otherwise because of all the hassles involved.
Lew Branning did a great job managing the vendor activity so I did not have to, and (ARG) provided the necessary know-how onsite during the cutover to make sure the transition was flawless. Just knowing Kristine was going to be onsite to help during the cutover was enough to quell any anxiety I might have had about that process. She provided similar help when we moved to this building almost 5 years ago, and having that skill set onsite is invaluable.

ARG fully coordinated the project, communicated with the vendors, arranged for the implementation of equipment and turnover, and followed up on each and every detail. Additionally, when we encountered issues with connectivity, installation and faulty equipment, they were on task every second. At ARG, the supportive staff knew immediately how to properly escalate my calls, and always routed me to the appropriate technician or consultant. They communicated with the vendors directly and ARG was able to do testing and isolate the problems and quickly arrive at solutions. At one point, after multiple techs from (carrier) had been dispatched unsuccessfully to one of my sites, a representative from ARG personally went to see if he could determine what was causing a problem we were having. Not only did he isolate the problem; he was able to repair it.

I cannot express how vital ARG assistance is for NCA. It is your support that allows a small organization like ours be a big player in our industry. Not enough importance can be placed on the many subtle ways in which your organization supports our Association.
In my 5 years with NCA, I have observed firsthand how ARG has helped negotiate several complicated contracts and has been instrumental in an office relocation. Julie has been a godsend. On a scale of one to ten…she is a 10 for sure. Fabulous. She responds quickly, gets things fixed and always knows who to turn to. Recently we were having what I consider serious issues with multiple calls from our voice carrier and Julie quickly got Joe Harre involved.
Joe was very quick to find out what was going on with the carrier. He kept me informed, worked the problem and got it fixed. While this may not sound like much, we are in our busiest time of time of the year and this could have been a disaster. Joe is wonderful.

After leaving ACCA, I worked as a consultant for a time and mentioned ARG to each and every client of mine as a situation arose that I thought you could help with. Whether it was teleconferencing or long distance service, I would mention your group and ask them to get in touch with you. I found that most organizations I came across hadn’t heard of you, but were glad when they did! I know I worked with Heather Campbell somewhere along the way also.
So, when I arrived at The Obesity Society, I asked ARG to come in and assess what we had in house. I wasn’t confident that anyone before me had been paying attention to costs for long distance, conference calling etc . Meredith did the analysis and said we were pretty good. But, when it came time to see that we were going to leave our existing building and move three blocks, I knew we needed to make some changes for the better and ARG could definitely help us do that.
The move was very labor intensive for me and again having Meredith and Ashley to coordinate the phones and IT, was a tremendous help. They also helped me decipher some of the technical speak some of the other vendors referenced. So, be rest assured that we will continue to use ARG here at TOS and anywhere else I may end up in the future.
