Back in August when we had 100+ degree weather and the day of the annual Demolition Derby at the Prince William County Fair, I loaded up my big white cooler with water, Gatorade and ice in the back of my Jeep and met up with the drivers of the derby in the back of the venue. I opened up the back tailgate and offered ice cold drinks to the drivers, their families and those working the event. By the time we started loading the beaten up cars on tow trucks and trailers to leave the event, my supply was depleted. I had a LOT of very appreciative Thank You’s and quite possibly helped prevent someone on the verge of a heat stroke. I was very happy to have been able to provide some relief for people during the event. I will definitely be doing it again next year.
