Thanks to yesterday’s training I left my house this morning with the idea of making the world a better place for a random stranger. I thought I might let someone in front of me in traffic or something.
This evening while taking my son to tae kwon do an opportunity presented itself.
A guy in an old Lincoln had a flat tire and no spare right around the corner from Mr. Tire on Rte 29 in Arlington.
If you look closely at the picture you can see his 18-month-old daughter on the passenger side of the car.
He is taking the tire off to go get a new one.
I explained ARG’s RAK program and gave him $100. He looked at me like I was crazy. Then he cried.
$70 should cover a tire, $30 should get a box of diapers.
On a day where the news is full of people being shot by police and police shooting people, this went a long way to restoring my faith in humanity, his as well.
