Kara called me on Jan 14th and said that ARG would like to make me an offer to join the team. Of course I was overjoyed and purely ecstatic. To count my blessings and say thanks, I made the personal commitment to myself that I would try to do one good deed a month whether it be from donations to volunteering my time, etc. It was just my personal way to say thanks and hold myself accountable.
The next week I was able to attend the 2021 ARG Sales Kick Off Meeting, where I first heard about Random Act of Kindness. I was blown away when I heard Steve Praske genuinely talk about the program. After hearing Steve, I felt even more reassured that I made the right choice coming to ARG as my personal goals were aligned with ARG’s. It makes me feel great that ARG is passionate about this type of good work, because a lot of companies say it, but how many actively practice it to this extent?
A few days later at my gym, I saw they were collecting shoes to help less fortunate people around the world. I figured this would be a great opportunity to be apart of and accomplish my monthly good deed goal. I managed to find 3 full boxes of unused shoes around the house and donated them to the gym. The gym was very thankful, because they felt this would help kick start the momentum to their program. They were even more blown away when I handed them my ARG Random Act of Kindness card with $21 as an additional donation.
It was an awesome all around good feeling and I look forward to February’s goal alongside with ARG and the stories that come from it.
