I haven’t been able to get ahead this week to plan and prep food in advance, so I ran to Café Rio after work to pick up dinner for the family. I met a gentleman outside who was asking for change. I didn’t have any cash, so I offered to buy him dinner while I was inside. We chatted a bit and I got his order and got in line. I feel fortunate to be able to buy dinner for someone who’s down on their luck, and I hope I brightened his day up a bit. He certainly brightened mine with his smile when I delivered.
