“On Friday night my wife and I went out to drop our daughter in Rockville at her cousin’s house and decided to find a place to eat dinner. We went over to Stella Barra, a pizza restaurant nearby. We sat at the corner of the bar as the wait for a table was very long. A young lady sitting next to us was enjoying a pizza and a glass of red wine and we began talking when she offered to share her pizza with us (which we politely declined). It turned out that her fiancé was supposed to have arrived back earlier that day from duty in the Air Force from Germany and she found out (after taking off from work) that his flight plans had been delayed. When the bartender brought her check, we grabbed it and enjoyed trying to make this young lady’s day just a little bit better.”
