Back before the deli across the street closed, I got hit with a desire to do something nice for the lady that sits in the lobby of the Hilton HQ bldg. She always makes eye contact with me and smiles when I say hello. So I bought her a cup of coffee, a brownie for now and a cookie for later J I told her she’d have to go back in to doctor her coffee herself because I didn’t ask her how she takes it. She looked at me a little sideways, but smiled and said thank you. I have no idea if she even drinks coffee, but I know she gets ignored most of the day and that felt like something I could remedy. Best $7 I spent!
