I was having lunch with a friend at Silver Diner, and as we were getting ready to pay, I noticed a young couple with a baby in a carrier at the table across from us. Without thinking much about it, I got up and walked over to them with my $20 and attached “Random Acts of Kindness” card. I explained that this money was for them just because my company was invested in spreading kindness. The man was beside himself. He looked at me in disbelief and said: “wow that’s really nice.” Then there was a long pause and silence followed by another “that is REALLY nice.”

I found it so interesting that this man was genuinely shocked by such a small act of kindness. It made me feel really good about what we are doing!
