I headed into Walmart to do some shopping for the little free pantry on my lunch break and struck up a conversation with a gentleman riding a motorized shopping cart. He asked if I could spare some change and I told him I didn’t carry cash, but would be happy to buy him some groceries. It turns out he is living in a shelter and they provide food but he doesn’t have warm clothes for winter. I told him to go find some boots and clothes while I finished my shopping and to meet me at checkout in 20 minutes. We met up and he left with some warm clothes and a big smile.
