Learn how one client broke free from non-value-added IT responsibilities while improving redundancy and security posture, all without breaking the bank.
The Client: A global law firm.
The Challenge: The IT team wanted to get out of the hardware and data center business and become more strategic and proactive in supporting the technology and compliance needs of the firm. They needed a solution to support the client’s global footprint, match or exceed current application performance for end-users, and have proven security and privacy measures in place. The client needed a vendor with a deep bench of expertise who would provide IT leadership visibility, reporting, and co-management access into the environment.
The Solution: Senior Consultant Cassie Diehl worked with a cross-disciplinary product team at ARG to develop the solution to meet the client’s list of requirements:
- A stable and reliable enterprise solution with global availability
- Diverse primary and secondary solutions with regular failover testing
- Little to no net increase in cost and cash flow improvement
- Proven mature security framework based on NIST compliance to easily address client inquiries
- Best practice maintenance and best-of-breed platforms and tools
- Thought leadership on security improvements and enhancements
- Co-managed support model
- Thoughtful and detailed migration plan and execution for a seamless backend change for end-users
Migrating to an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider delivered a full team of experts responsible for the maintenance of the environment as well as keeping it secure with layers of security tools and monitoring. A virtually private dedicated IaaS solution will give the firm the privacy required. Leveraging SD-WAN ensured that all locations, including China, would be optimized without increasing network costs and having the security stack built-in simplified policy and governance.
Bottom Line: The client is freed from non-value-added IT responsibilities while improving redundancy and security posture. The ARG client experience team worked with the chosen vendors to ensure a seamless transition for end-users, and they did it all with a nominal increase in cost.
